City of Modesto, Stanislaus County and Stanislaus Community Foundation to fund 100 homeless people $13,500 per year ($1.35 million total) to take part in Downtown Streets Team.

The teams, comprised of 25 homeless (at one time) can make $100 individually to perform clean up services on Modesto’s streets.  With the City of Modesto pledging $300,000, is this another taxpayer funded endeavor – for those currently subsidizing DoMo- will their contributions decrease?
