Sheriff Christianson feels it would be inappropriate to respond to a complaint from the wife of one of his officers.
The officer will soon retire in an attempt to avoid any internal investigation. The officer will be eligible to be rehired as a Sheriff reserve or he can catch on to another law enforcement agency to work towards another retirement.
In the meantime, beaten and abused wives and girlfriends of police are ignored, reducing their chances from escaping from an abusive situation
