On this episode of the ::ANSWERS:: show, we are going to try to figure out the "why?" to teachers having sex with students.

Beginning with the infamous Mary Kay Letourneay case in 1995, we have all been fascinated with teachers, namely females, who cross the line and have sexual relationships with their students. It is truly mind-boggling. One of the many questions that typically go unANSWERed is, "Why do teachers sleep with students?"

According to an AP study, between 2001 and 2005, 2,570 educators had their teaching credentials revoked, denied, surrendered or sanctioned following allegations of sexual misconduct. The interesting fact about this is while only ten percent of those teachers were women; female teachers who have slept with their students receive the lion's share of media attention. Why is that?

We decided to see if we can ANSWER once and for all, why we see this growing trend within our education system.

Thank you for tuning in.
