...and don't assume you'll have the water necessary! Yes we all want to hear the reports from your neck of the Montana woods(and beyond) but for the first 30 minutes or so we'll be talking about the hot, or soon to be virally boiling hot, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) Water Rights Compact negotiations. The ones that the Feds and State(the other two parties) have kept under the lid. Till now that they need the rest of us to rubber stamp what they want the 2013 legislative session to accept. Which party of the three parties, Federal, State, Tribes are the irrigators or the rest of us in? Who will be affected by this compact? Why should we care?
We will also take a few moments to recognize and praise a wonderful miracle that happened in a small town in the neck of the Montana woods. The people of the Town of Philipsburg came together, used their voices and their elected public servants listened to them! WOW! What a difference a shift of power makes! A lesson we can all learn from resulting in a decision we should all be grateful for.
You'll have to lend us your ears (and mouths) to find out the answers, right here this Thursday nite, July 19th, 9PM to 10PM. Easier to lend them to us before your government takes them from us all. No?
Till then, remember that can of worms won't open itself...and soon just might not be good for fishing either.
