Well fellow students, Barack Obama has been sworn in for his second term as President of the United States, and the world is still spinning.  As any of the estimated 1 million attendees will tell you, the Inauguration ceremony was a rousing success.  It was “THE” event of the year and celebrities came en masse’ to help commemorate the day.  Morgan Freeman, that you?
To finish out his official 1st term, President Obama offered up legislation to help control the growing epidemic of gun violence in this country.  As we discussed last week, there is plenty to debate over this subject and we will revisit that this week.
Gun appreciation day was last Saturday and what a “blazing success” that was; only 5 people were wounded in accidental shootings at events. SUCCESS!  Since then, there have been at least 2 mass or school shootings, including one today in Houston.  Yet with all of this, we still have the “Die Hard” NRA leadership calling out the President for suggesting change, even though TWO of the proposals are exactly what Wayne LaPierre himself called for in HIS rambling press conference.
We WILL hit this point and more, tonight at 8:00pm EST.
Focusing on the major and sometimes overlooked topics affecting us in America today, the Nitelifer Circle of Sanity examines what is going on in Baltimore MD, Seattle WA, and all parts of the country in between.  The “Media” is or isn't talking about it, but regardless, The Nitelifer Circle of Sanity is! We hope to enlighten and educate while delivering the seriousness of the issues with sarcasm and humor.  Whether it is politics or social issues, The Nitelifer Circle of Sanity will be there.
