Success Strategies with Zhana: Helping Single Mothers and Their Children

Kimberly Evans is the mother of three adult children and has two granddajghters. Kimberly Evans is currently a Counselor in training at Chicago State University and is in her final year. In 2002, Kimberly joined the Chicago Police Department, where she was a patrol officer for nine years. When she realized she was on the wrong end of saving the youth, as well as their own family, she resigned and gained employment as a teacher's assistant wth Beacon Therapeutic school then reehired with Chicago Public Schools where she is currently employed. In 2021, she established A Lioness In Action, Inc., a 501c3 organization. The goal of trhe non-profit is to supportr single mothers by providing training inlife skills and the imporance of education, giving them the tools that are needed to support the mental and emotional health of themselves and their children.
