Can children be taught not to fight each other as a way of life? Can children learn how to stand up to bullies without fear, and use a force greater than physical force to make bullies back down? Dr. King'/ Non Violent movement was more than protest marchers getting hit with police nightsticks, bitten by dogs and being sprayed by water hoses. It involved a different way of facing and defeating bullies which required courage, self control, and a spiritual force that ultimately proves stronger than the threat of violence. Sherri Bevel, a contributing writer to the book The Chicago Freedom Movement, joins us today to discuss the launching of the  Addie Wyatt Center for Nonviolent Training (AWCNT)
