Eighth grader Marlo Bishop has overcome what for some may have been an insurmountable challenge. Suffering a blood clot in her right leg at 14 months of age, she was in danger of the clot moving to her heart and ending her young life. Doctors decided it would be best to remove the leg. But having one limb has not slowed down Marlo one bit - she rides her bicycle, roller skates, plays tennis - and is now embarking on a career as a fashion model! Her mother Loretta Elliott explains what it takes to maintain high self esteem in a child who grows up a little different than other children and has to face teasing, bullying and even low expectations from other adults. As a featured model in the upcoming fashion show "We Live And Remember In Color" produced by Quinton de'Alexander, Marlo discusses how she overcame the difficult years to emerge triumphant over what some would consider a major disability, but for Marlo has been the challenge that drove her to excel.
