The New York Times called her first novel “darkly humorous…imaginative and quirky." One of her novels, The Dominant Blonde, was excerpted in Cosmopolitan magazine and recorded on audio by Mariska Hargitay, and her work has been translated into German, Russian, Japanese, Norwegian and Indonesian. As Alisa Sheckley, she has written two paranormal romances, The Better to Hold You and Moonburn. In June, Alisa's humorous essay “Blue Collar Bacchanalia” will appear in an anthology called "A Taste of True Blood: The Fangbanger's guide."
