Gone are the days when adults follow a retirement plan of working for 35 or 40 years then walking away from their jobs and doing nothing. Many baby boomers are now turning to second careers starting a new business and embracing new opportunities. Almost 19% of those over 65 or older are choosing to work at least part time. A study done by Merrill Lynch found that 7 out of 10 retirees want to try something new in retirement. The new generation of retirees are more engaged and more active in retirement. Some work for the money but many are not money motivated. Three out of 5 retirees launch into a new line of work. Today we are talkiing to retired detective from LAPD, Ronald Jones. He has decided to fix up and then flip houses as his second career.
