I know...here I go again! Analyzing the worship of such revered holidays as Lent and Easter is, in some circles, almost a sinful abomination. In the spirit of the title of this ministry - Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth - my ambition is to always read and interpret scripture in the accurate and honest intent of the author, as the Holy Spirit has placed on the author. Are we to offer the Lord worship and celebration that doesn't glorify Him and simply satisfies our sensibilities with no eternal benefit?

I'm writing this keeping in step with 1 Peter 3:15 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

My question to you - our spiritual family - is can YOU give an answer for your reason for celebrating these holidays that have been predominantly, in many ways, shaped by secular practice and traditions that worship things other than the true living God? According to the bible is the practice of placing forehead ashes, honoring bunny rabbits and searching for Easter eggs really acceptable worship to God, or only us? Today we'll walk through it together on another episode of Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth.
