The NFL Takes the Knee, Fans Say TAKE A HIKE!!!

For all of my life,  the sport of football was the team sport that I most identified with the qualities that make the US great.  It incorporated those traits that we admire in athletes and in the armed forces.  They were discipline, teamwork, supreme levels of physical fitness, courage, perserverence, strategy, tactics, applied intelligence to the task at hand,  and the notion of sacrifice for the higher good.  The football metaphor was constantly invoked during my Army career has a recognizable touchstone that soldiers could identitfy with in visualizing the things that would make the US armed forces more effective.  My admiration for football greats was almost unqualified.

The culture war has been joined,  and the POTUS has fired the opening shots.  The cultural marxism that has infiltrated that once mighty bastion,  the NFL, is on full display has the left uses uninformed and mostly black athletes has pawns for their nefarious and insidious purposes.
