I never thought I would see the day post-Obama's election, that the media would label the White House, under the leadership of the first African American President, as too white. Most of us were doing the dance with our beloved initially, trying to help him mentally navigate his way through the title, President of the United States, by suggestive supportive lines such as, "He's not the President of Black America, he's the President of The United States of America"...ad nauseum...But has our personal pep talk back-fired? Are we still on the outside looking in, consoling ourselves with this sincere, but over-extended premise that Obama is NOT to deliberately reach out to blacks for fear of being labeled as pro-black? What's really going on? Why have we deluded ourselves into thinking that the color line issue has been erased?
