On February 9, 1993, Debra Reese was murdered in her home in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Within a few hours of discovering her body, police arrested Ledell Lee. In 1995, Lee was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. Lee, his counsel, family and other advocates made numerous allegations related to flaws in his trial, including ineffective assistance of counsel throughout all stages of the proceedings. State and federal courts denied relief, allowing his conviction and sentence to stand. On April 20, 2017, Lee was executed by the State of Arkansas. Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m. Central as they discuss the case against Ledell Lee and the evidence that was presented to the courts, but not made a part of the media coverage of the controversial case.
