In the second episode of Swag The Dog, Carl Gibson focuses on the Iceland uprising, and the inspirational populist movement that nationalized banks, threw out politicians, got bankers arrested, and prompted the writing of a new Constitution through participatory Democracy.
The show will air on Friday, May 11, one day before a global call to action against austerity and corporate greed organized by Democracia Real Ya! in Spain, which credits Iceland's uprising as its inspiration.
Gibson will be taking calls in the second half of the program, to discuss lessons the Occupy movement can learn from Iceland's successes, and to talk about plans for the May 12 day of action.
