When you find out someone you love is gay, the immediate response is human in nature and therefore, presents an air of disappointment. What will my friends think? What will this mean for him/her? How will he/she have children? What will this mean for his/her walk with God?

This week’s show will give some perspective on that topic while introducing you to a director who has created a movie on this very subject entitled Blackbird starring Image and Academy Award winning Actress, Mo’Nique Hicks and Isaiah Washington!! This movie delves into the life of a young man in Mississippi who has to admit to himself and everyone else that he is gay. The director, Patrik-Ian Polk, will be with me to discuss the concept and the message of this powerful film.
