This evening we will resume our focus on Ancient Kemet and how Mothers and Motherhood was viewed during the time of Antiquity.

We were teaching on and Yeye Osun of Ifa Orisa, (Het-Heru of Kemetic tradition) known as Isis of Ancient Egyptian tradition.  Isis also held a place at the Roman temple, even though she was a foreign deity. The Festival of Isis was used by the Romans to commemorate an important battle that marked the beginning of winter, which lasted for three days, featuring mostly-female dancers, musicians and singers.
