Veteran actor of stage and film, Roetta Collins, will guest and discuss the lack of quality roles available for mature female actors in contempory work and whether this is predominately an American issue. A Detroit native, Roetta began her professional acting career as a company member of the Will-O-Way Apprentice Theatre in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where she most notably appeared in a production of A Raisin in the Sun with Claudia McNeil, who originated the role of Lena Younger on Broadway. She has since lived on both coasts and has appeared in New York theater, regional productions, and on television and film. Roetta founded her production company, One iota Productions in 2010.
