Single Parent Assistance, Resources, & Knowledge Network, Inc. Mission: Activate Confidence and Inspire Wisdom in the Single Parent Family Vision: Working to provide low-to-moderate income single parent families with assistance, resources and knowledge to assist them in achieving financial independence. I received an email that stated the following: I was told to contact United Way for assistance. I not exactly sure what kind of services you provide, but I am pregnant and expecting in February. I go to school right now part-time and work as much as I can. I am not making ends meet right now. I barely have anything for my baby that is due in a few months and can barely afford the rent and for my apartment. I never thought I would be in this situation, but I am running out of options and am scared I won't even have a car seat or crib for my baby. I am not sure How I will be able to work once I have the baby I do not have any family to help me in my state. So, where do you start as a single mom? What resources ARE available? This single mom is low income and in major need. So where does she start? Join Tina Fortune, single mom of 3, as we explore the assistance and resources immediately available for this scared mom.
