Your host Viyahta welcomes Mami Wata Priestess to share her amazing journey to Africa and back.  Mami Wata is a "baby boomer" born in the United States, a descendant of the African slave, cognoscente of the plight of the Civil Rights struggles of her people, who reached back for that reconnection to her motherland, Africa, to its culture and spiritual systems.  She is a  priestess of African Vodun in the pantheon of Mami Wata. Initiated in Africa, in 1999, she was originally initiated as Hounnon Houedossi AHOUEGNON.
