Remember~

Memory is a tricky thing. All of us have had the experience of forgetting where we put the TV, the car keys, or even the car in a public parking lot. Not being able to remember where you put your reading glasses, or your cel phone can be really frustrating. When you find what your have been looking for there is comes a sense of relief that is palpable.

There are also things we would like to forget, but can't. Embarassing moments where you said something wrong at just the right moment, or you did something without thinking it through that emotionally hurt a loved one.

As we get older and further away in time from events or people in ur past, remembering often become a fading shadow of what once was. And memory becomes more elusive the harder we try to remember, and if we let it go those same memories come back to our minds when we least expect.

God has asked us to REMEMBER some difficult things; things we would rather forget. 

'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent." Rev..2:5.

God has also asked us to remember, and not forget what we have learned about truth.

'So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you." Rev. 3:3.

But you can't remember what you have never learned. If you believe you already have all the truth then you will never wake up and learn truth about salvation when you need it the most.

'Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked." Rev.3:17.
