BUILDING AN ALTERNATIVE RADIO NETWORK WITH BOB WILLIAMS

For anyone who realizes how serious the problems are with the American government and the consequences of continuing to allow it to be controlled by corporate interests, the so-called "alternative" media has been a sore disappointment. The most popular "alternative" media sources amount to French vanilla as an alternative to the plain vanilla flavor of the traditional corporate media. That means that if we want truly independent media, we have to build it ourselves.

Any such an effort must include a voice on talk radio, which is dominated by right wing commentators and on the left, apologists for a Democratic Party that is as dependent on corporate campaign contributions as the Republicans. That is why Bob Williams started the Star Com Media. Beginning with one small low power station operating out of his home, he has built a network of 19 micro-stations affiliated with 137 other stations around the US and overseas, as well as an internet-based video network. 

On Monday, December 9 at 9 AM PST/ 12 EST he will be a guest on Taking Back America to talk about the state of the US media and his vision of how to transform it into a source of reliable information and meeting place for those wanting to talk about how to Take Back America for the People.
