Time is running out to educate Americans about somehthing much of the world already understands that will affect us all: the mammoth free trade agreement known as the Trans Pacific Partnership.

Far from a mere agreement on terms of trade, TPP is a direct challenge to national sovereignty being negotiated in secret by representatives of 600 multinational corporations that are seeking to formalize their authority over the governments of the 12 nations involved and any others that can be induced to join later under "docking" provisions.

The rights of government to protect labor, public health, the environment, internet freedom and financial regulation are all under threat by this economic juggernaut aimed at the heart of what passes for democracy in the world.

On Saturday October 18 at 9 AM PST/ 12 PM EST our guest will be Ivend Holen of Oregon Fair Trade Campaign, who will discuss these issues and in particular, how they would affect health in emerging nations and the financial health of  the US and nations with universal health care.

Know the truth and the truth will set us free.
