Allowing farmers to prosper creates an ecosystem that serves both farmer and consumer. Loaning them the tools and resources takes one more stumbling block to turning a profit out of the way. Our guest is Eric Pohlman.

Eric Pohlman, One Acre Fund

Eric Pohlman is the Rwanda country director for One Acre Fund. The organization's purpose is to serve small-scale farmers in Africa, allowing them to double their farm income on every acre planted. In everything they do, they place the farmer first, measuring success in their ability to make more farmers more prosperous. One Acre Fund's values are Humble Service, Hard Work, Continual Growth, Family of Leaders, Dreaming Big and Integrity.

Eric joined One Acre Fund in 2007. He began his work in development in Mbale, Uganda, where he redesigned household biogas digesters for a Ugandan NGO then served the Carameroonian village of Tourou as a Peace Corps volunteer. Eric founded the One Acre Fund program in Rwanda.
