Another year has passed. It’s a media driven society these days; it bleeds it leads, if it’s dead our ratings are red. Reality is defined by reality TV, and scandal is the new road to riches and notoriety. Yet through all this fog of war, the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are slowly rebuilding from multiple invasions, coup attempts, negative media portrayal, and endless resource exploitation. Through it all millions of our Congolese brothers and sisters were killed, along with those that fought to defend them. Those responsible thought they would die nameless, thrown in mass graves, discarded like ashes to the wind. Many want the world to forget them. We can’t forget them. We won’t forget them. Through our remembrance of them, they will live forever...
