Growing up I was back and forth between my Grandparents and my Aunt & Uncle because my mom was an alcoholic.  My mother died when I turned 15 from cirrhosis of the liver. After that I was a very troubled young lady. From the time of my mothers death my addiction spiraled out of control. I was in and out of jail most of my life. I fell in 2009 while I was heavily intoxicated and broke my back which led to roxiecodone addiction. I hit my bottom in 2010 when I was arrested for selling to an undercover cop and sentenced to almost 4 years in prison. Prison is where God changed my life forever. I am currently clean and sober since June 01, 2010. I just got my license back and bought a car. I am also looking into going to school in the fall for alcohol and drug addiction counseling. I have a Recovery page on Facebook called Breaking the Chains of Addiction. I totally believe that the 12 step program of AA / NA works if you will commit to the program fully! However, it will not work without your higher power (mine being God). Thank you all for reading and God Bless!
