The Hollywood & Vine Recovery Center(s), a non-profit organization, was founded by two women who wanted to make the world a better place and bring light into the darkness. These two women, from the drug haven streets of Detroit, Michigan, are Dr. Gloria Montgomery, PhD., and Ms. Joan Wendorf, CMS. Together, they have been an active asset to society for over 45 years. They continue, to this date, building programs for those in need.

The ongoing philosophy of the Hollywood and Vine Treatment Center(s) is “the DISEASE is the same where ever you find it.” Their programs have stretched throughout the nation, into Canada, New Zealand, Asia, and beyond. Dr. Gloria Montgomery established the Beverly Hills Recovery Center where she worked with those from Yale-to-jail, from Park Avenue to the park bench, from Beverly Hills to Wall Street, to Skid Row. The emptiness, loneliness, pain, suffering, and the last call of death know no boundaries. The Disease of Addiction does not discriminate.

Dr. Montgomery and Ms. Wendorf have not only been recognized nationwide, but have also been honored to walk the red-carpet with actors such as Mel Gibson, singers and musicians Aerosmith, Chuck Negron, Three Dog Night, Iron Butterfly, partnered with the House of Blues, and countless others. The listing of sponsored benefits, fundraisers, and charity events is immeasurable going back over 45 years.
