A little of everything! (Had to rant about Chris Christie)

Change of plans. Sorry for the late notice! Emergency of Gov. Chris Christie BS ing his way up the establishments butt and stealing Dr. Paul's long help beliefs as his own in a newscast just now. And quoting Reagan, like he knew him! I'm NOT happy about this!

O my gosh! Watching Christie use Ron Paul lines with no remorse at all. His Reagan memory story? HA! Ron and Reagan were friends dude. The establishment will do anything to beat Ron Paul. Even create a pseudo Ron Paul like "electable" candidate. Which will turn on us again in the end!

and just did that spoof of Ron in the fat suite last night..? Telling...

James Loubriel they're seriously getting desperate. the only way they can try to beat ron paul is to try to become ron paul but it fails every time. look what it did to perry. his numbers are tanking by the day.

Benefits of Homeschooling

In my review of the parenting literature I find very little mention of feelings. The emphasis is generally on behavior. But as psychologist John Gottman says, we are attempting to control the children's behavior without looking at the emotions which underly that behavior. (Links to the authors I mention are found at the bottom of this section)

I believe if we focus our efforts on trying to create the right kinds of feelings in children, the behavior will take care of itself. It is not only the feelings of the child which I believe we need to look at, but the parents' feelings as well. This is an area which is even more neglected than the child's feelings. Few psychologists or writers of parents literature ever mention the feelings of the parents. Thomas Gordon is the notable exception which comes to mind.
