Lucinda O'Connell Re-enlivened

Lucinda O'Connell is a professional artist from the Virgin Islands moved to the Marin area to heal through her art by going back to school and attending classes.  She signed up for W R I T E  O N ! because it sounded interesting and different.  Most people who hear her story say she must write a book, however she didn't take this class to learn how to write; it was about getting the emotions and the glimpses of her life down on paper that pertained to her husband's murder last year.  This class was therapy for her from a very traumatic life changing experience that you only read about.          W R I T E  O N ! became her favorite class because it gave her an outlet to write for herself and to share it with others without negative judgement.  "It was an incredibly positive space to open up a little more each week."  She also enjoyed watching the others unfold with their body language and listening to their stories.  It was exactly what I came to this area to do, and who knew it would be through writing and not watercolor.
