Yalil Guerra was born in Havana, the son of the famous vocal duo Rosell y Cary. There he studied at the National School of Music with classical guitar professor Jorge Luis Zamora. At the age of 16, he won the International Competition and Festival of Classical Guitar in Krakow, Poland. Nowadays he writes music for US TV networks Univision and Canal 41 Miami. And, noably, he composed the FIFA World Cup theme in 2010.
