Born in Rio de Janeiro, Marcela Mariz, is an actress, writer, lawyer and a monthly columnist for The Orange County Register in southern California. She also works for a multinational aerospace company. The story line of her debut Sci-fi novel, The Chosen of Gaia, mirrors Marcela’s life, which started as a dream when she was a teenager and has remained with her through 10 living arrangements and even multiple countries.
