I had the pleasure of listening to a bit of David Tyreman the other day and he said something that resonanted with me and the direction I have been moving in with clients...the difference in creating a brand identity vs branding. The latter is simply having a logo and a "look" and the former is understanding who you are and what makes you different and stand out.
