Native American with Irish descent that lives near his reservation , Jan Michael Looking Wolf is a well accomplished recording artist with 16 CDs and 2 DVDs recorded on various record labels....earning 39 Award Recognitions and a top ten ranking in the national New Age Charts....in 2008, he became the first ever to win for Flutist of the Year at the NAMMYS and the ISMA for his solo native flute CD Unity. In 2009, THE LOOKING WOLF PROJECT, his latest major release, is making waves with Alternative Rock combined with Native Flute and vocals earning Jan Michael Artist of the Year by the prestigious 11th Annual Native American Music Awards.

"Breakin' Free" is part of an effort by Jan Michael to give back to native communities by supporting drug and alcohol prevention for native youth.  This new CD and anti-drug abuse posters will be distributed to every reservation across the country in 2010.  His band is touring reservations and playing concerts for youth as well.
