The NFL playoffs have started with a bang. For the first time in NFL history, all four wildcard teams won. Each of the four road teams invaded the opponents home turf and came away victorious. The debate has come up every year about division winners automatically hosting a playoff game. The results from wildcard weekend could bring this debate up again. Two wildcard teams; the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, had better records than their hosts. A simple solution is to rank the teams one through six with no automatic home game for the division winner. In that scenario, the Chiefs and Packers would have hosted the wildcard game.

The Chiefs continue to roll as they dismanted the Houston Texans 30-0. Knile Davis took the opening kickoff 106 yards to give the Chiefs all the points they would need. Kansas City turned up the defensive pressure and forced Brian Hoyer to throw four interceptions. Houston's defense held Alex Smith and the Chiefs to 314 yards and forced three field goals. However, the Texans offense could only manage 226 net yards.

The Pittsburgh Steelers proved that you must play 60 minutes before you can raise your hand in victory. The Steelers dominated the first three quarters, and took a 15-0 lead into the fourth quarter. A.J. McCarron kept the Bengals fighting and lead them to two fourth quarter touchdown drives. The last one gave the Bengals a 16-15 lead with 1:50 left. Landry Jones, who was playing for an injured Ben Roethlisberger, throw an interception. The Bengals were in complete control with the ball on the Steeler 26. Jeremy Hill fumbled on the next play and Ben Roethlisberger re-entered the game to lead the Steelers on the game winning drive. With the ball on the Cincinnati 47, Roethlisberger intended a pass for Antonio Brown that was incomplete. Vontaze Burfict was called for unnecessary roughness, and then Adam "pacman" jones received a 15 yard penatly.
