Steelers now control their own destiny to make the playoffs

    in Football

In this episode of the Terrible Towel Tantrum, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Rudy Reyes and Troy Otradovec will talk about their big road win, in Atlanta.  The Steelers now control their own destiny to make the playoffs.  The Falcons did a great job holding LeVeon Bell to a mere 47 yards rushing, and many times he was held for no gain.  Therefore, the Steelers relied on the arm of Ben Roethilsberger, and he came through. This not only gives the Steelers a great chance to make the playoffs, it keeps the division title, within reach also. Listen in and call the show.

Steelers crush Bengals and position themselves for playoff spot

    in Football

In this episode of "Terrible Towel Tantrum"; presented by The Red Light Sports Network, sponsored by Subway of Latrobe, Rudy Reyes and Troy Otradovec will talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Steelers leaned on Le'Veon Bell, one more week.  Bell rushed for 185 yards, and both Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant had over 100 yards receiving.  Bryant's total was aided by a 94 yard touchdown pass, that made the score 35-21.

The Bengals fed the ball to A.J. Green and kept this close, for three quarters.  Green finished with 11 catches for 224 yards, and one touchdown.  The highlight was an 81 yard touchdown catch, in the third quarter.  The Steelers shut down the running back tandum of Jeremy Hill and Giovani Benard (46 and 17 yards, respectively).

The win propelled the Steelers to 8-5, and 1/2 game behind the division leading Bengals, at 8-4-1.  There are two games to be played before they square off December 28, in the last game of the season.  That game could be for the Division Title, and the right to host a first round playoff game.  Also, with the win, the Steelers have positioned themselves as the five seed, in the AFC.  Listen in and call the show.

Steelers need fourth quarter comeback to defeat Titans

    in Football

In this episode of the Terrible Towel Tantrum, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, and sponsored by Subway of Latrobe, Host Troy Otradovec will talk about the Steelers win, in Music City.  It was not an easy win, as the Steelers need to score 14 fourth quarter points.  Le'Veon Bell rushed for 204 yards on 33 carries, and LeGarrette Blount had zero carries.  This prompted a selfish act, and he left the field before the game was over.  This prompted the Steelers to cut Blount.  Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.

Saints march into Heinz Field and dismantle the Steelers

    in Football

In this episode of the Terrible Towel Tantrum; presented by The Red Light Sports Network, and sponsored by The Million Dollar Ramble, Rudy Reyes and Troy Otradovec will discuss what happened at Heinz Field, on Sunday.  The New Orleans Saints left Pittsburgh, with a 35-32 victory.  The score was closer than the game.  A few mop up touchdowns, to help fantasy owners, made the score respectable.

The game was in the Saints control, after the third quarter.  The score was 28-13, and Dree Brees was picking apart the Steelers secondary.  Although the loss, does not eliminate them from playoff contention.  The Steelers now have to take care of business against the Cincinnati Bengals, not once, but twice.  Do you think that the Pittsburgh Steelers can make the playoffs?  Listen in or call the show, with your thoughts.
