National Disaster Awareness Program Idea

How's this for a Plan. Well, part of my existing plan. Using ham  (amateur) radio, initiate a communications effort to start a Disaster Awareness Net Meeting. How does that work? Glad you asked. We use a national frequency, start asking ham radio operators (stations) if they would be interested in information sharing on a designated frequency at a weekly time. Get the word out in every corner of the Nation and have interested parties check in with their call sign. Once the check in list is large enough, start the Net Meeting, and BOOM; we have a communications network in which all walks of life may call in with tips and tricks for safety, mitigation, health and human services, clean-up and re-building, Insurance fraud, legal, etc, etc. Including 3rd party traffic that could possibly become ham radio operators. Simply talking to people. How's that? Listen in and hear the rest.
