Abuse (Mentally, Emotionally, and Physically)

Welcome to Therapy Thursday we will discussing abuse.  We will talk about the diffrent form of abuse..  What to do if you need help.  Warning signs and red flags. 

Institutional abuse can typically occur in a care home, nursing home, acute hospital or in-patient setting and can be any of the following:

• discriminatory abuse.
• financial abuse.
• neglect.
• physical abuse.
• psychological and emotional abuse.
• sexual abuse.
• verbal abuse.

Relationship abuse is a pattern of abusive and coercive behaviors used to maintain power and control over a former or current intimate partner. Abuse can be emotional, financial, sexual or physical and can include threats, isolation, and intimidation.
