"Karen Lansing, MFT, BCET, Diplomate, The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, Specialist for the treatment of Duty Induced PTSD, Tactical Psych Advisor, Lecturer, Trainer."

Featuring Chapter 7 "Tonight's Target"

On Monday mornings until further notice at 11AM EST I will be interviewing Karen about her book and a practice that she is dearly involved in. Karen practices EMDR also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR psychotherapy is an information processing therapy and uses an eight phase approach to address the experiential contributors of a wide range of pathologies. It attends to the past experiences that have set the groundwork for pathology, the current situations that trigger dysfunctional emotions, beliefs and sensations, and the positive experience needed to enhance future adaptive behaviors and mental health.

Karen is the author of "The Rite of Return: Coming Back from Duty-Induced PTSD"

Karen Lansing, LMFT, Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress has been described by one Northern Irish Police Commander as, “the grit that makes the pearl.” Her first police clients dubbed her their Cop Whisperer. Twice an American flag has flown over US bases within the Mid East in honor of her service to military assets.
