The LGBT Community Center of The Desert (The Center): A Glimpse Inside

As we learn at TheCenterPS.org, "The story of The Center (also known as The LGBT Community Center of The Desert) is one of success. This vibrant organization is undergoing a dramatic expansion to better serve our seniors, to embrace the diversity of our Valley, to build camaraderie, to provide wellness and social services – and to enrich the lives of the LGBT community. The magnitude of commitment to The Center’s mission in this community is striking. Through the contributions of our members, volunteers, donors, business partners, board and staff, we are addressing urgent needs of hunger, depression, isolation and building a community center that brings people together for health, for wellness, for socializing, for FUN and for a broad array of shared interests."

On May 21st, 2015, at the beautiful home of Palm Springs City Council Candidate Geoff Kors and his husband, Palm Springs Unified School Board Member James Williamson, The Center's Executive Director Mike Thomspon addressed existing and future members of The Center's Ocotillo Club (major donors) about how far the organization has come, and where it's headed.  They say, "Be a part of this success story as it unfolds.
