“Classic” is one of those enticing but unregulated terms like “Lite” or “Natural”: The value may well be perceived rather than real. When a boat owner believes that his or her boat has special characteristics that qualify it as a classic, though, what extra precautions and concerns should be taken by the surveyor writing up a valuation report — or a damage survey?
