Last month many conservatives were disappointed and angry that Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget sold their values short. Astute conservatives should recognize that a strategy had to be put in play for the 2014 elections. Avoiding the public’s anger of another government, recognizing that a leader must sometimes have to make tough decisions that may be unpopular, Rep Ryan teamed up with a democrat and passed a federal budget that the President actually signed, and the first federal budget of his presidency. Ryan and the Republican Leadership wanted nothing on the table for the 2014 elections, except Obama care, and the Democrats are now distancing themselves from the President. Now the President is trying to start yet another class warfare battle with unemployment benefits, showing that he signed a bill that did not include it, alluding to his lack of leadership skills. The Republicans led by Senator Ron Johnson fire the first shots in the 2014 election cycle, and former Secretary of Defense Gates torpedoed President Obama with his new tell all book. Looks like Republicans may actually be on the offensive a refreshing stance.
