Socialism is not, and can never be, democratic. It does not matter how much its proponents put the "democratic" prefix in front of it. Their ideology is, and will always be, a roadmap to totalitarianism, tyranny and the destruction of every society where it is applied. Despite all that, a new generation, born after the collapse of the Soviet Empire, is increasingly attracted to the ideas that once oppressed half a billion people from central Europe to the Pacific Ocean. What is it with socialism that continues to attract people to it?
