Jerry Johncock, the first American over 80 to finish a marathon in under 4 hours, has run over 100 marathons since turning 50. On October 4, at the 21 mile point in a Twin Cities marathon, aides told Jerry that his race was over and they would transport him to the nearest hospital. Something truly amazing happened, though, that you have to hear to believe. Jerry is my dad, and you’ll hear his incredible story on today’s show! WARNING: Stop listening right now if you get queasy when hearing about, uh, sensitive medical procedures.
