Pharmacists for Truth & Transparency is an organization whose mission is to expose the many schemes that the larger, publicly traded PBMs use to inflate their profits at the expense of their self insured clients. We are an organization comprised of various pharmacy professionals from all over the country who have direct knowledge of the inner workings of the PBM industry.
Pharmacists for Truth & Transparency believes in full disclosure of all matters related to pharmacy transactions. We believe an employer has a right to know when and by how much they are being charged more than what the pharmacy got paid. TruthRx believes the employer has a right to know the exact amount of all revenues their PBM received from pharmaceutical manufacturers. This includes grants, fees, rebates and any other revenues directly or indirectly related to the plan.
Pharmacists for Truth & Transparency believes the employer has the right to prohibit repacked NDC codes being used for billing purposes, and the right to audit their PBM at any time.
Finally we believe any benefits consultant, advisor, broker, or third party administrator should disclose any conflicts of interest when recommending a particular PBM. This includes but is not limited to any and all revenues they receive from the PBM at any time, or for any reason.
