The program highlights our regular PANW report with dispatches on Africa Day 2020; South Africa is preparing to enter level three in the COVID-19 lockdown on June 1; the African Union (AU) has issued a statement on the current talks between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan aimed at resolving differences over the Grand Renaissance Dam Project; and five people have been killed in a bomb blast in the Somalian city of Baidoa. In the second and third hours we continue our focus on the international response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We review recent briefings from Kenyan and South African Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Cyril Ramaphosa. Finally we look at the policies being implemented to contain the virus in Africa and the global community.We feature an interview with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the efforts by various countries and institutions to develop a COVID-19 vaccine.
