High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has petitioned to change its name to "corn sugar" because the corn refiner's association believes we, the public, are confused. In order to aid us in recovering from this confusion, they propose to change the name of the product. This broadcast will explore some of the dangers that have been associated with HFCS, and explain why I am not confused about wanting to avoid high fructose corn syrup, by any name.
