Statistics show that over 80% of boys and men do not come forward about abuse out of fear and shame. Patrick Dati was one of those statistics, but after years of depression and attempts with suicide, he decided to tell his story.

At the age of 9, Patrick life took a dramatic change as a result of a horrifying and traumatic event that affected the rest of his life: he was raped by notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy in the men’s room of a department store on a winter morning. Fear from the rapist’s threat to track him down and kill him and his family if he spoke a word about the rape to anyone kept him silent about the event for 35 years.

Patrick also experienced years of abuse and bullying from his older brother.  He is now speaking out and devoting his time and attention to helping victims of abuse and bullying.

Tune in as Patrick shares his story with D-Talks Radio!
