Your Host BadGirl PollyAnna Cynthia Coffman (born 1962) was the partner in crime of James Gregory Marlow. She was born St. Louis, Missouri. Coffman and Marlow were accused of killing four women in October–November 1986. They were arrested on November 14, 1986, following which Coffman confessed to the murders. They were put on trial in July 1989, and in 1990 sentenced to death, Coffman being the first woman to receive a death sentence in California since the reinstatement of the death penalty in 1977. A further trial in 1992 convicted her for another murder with a sentence of life imprisonment. She was still on death row in 2011.

We will be joined by Dr. Eric Hickey and Dr Katherine Ramsland. As the phenomena of serial killer continues to be investigated and studied many new facts continue to come to life. However even though our knowledge of serial killers and their motives continues to grow and change what seems to stay the same for most is the image one has of such a offender. Most often imagine a white, middle class male in their 30s or 40s, loner types. But as Dr . Hickey will explain, suc
Pastor Neil Schori brings the traditionally accepted religious perspective to the question of forgiveness. Are we in a position as human beings to show forgiveness to someone who claims to be redeemed? Does God allow these murderers to be forgiven and enter Heaven?

Throughout the 80's and 90's, The area around Seattle, Washington was gripped by fear. Fear that a serial killer was freely roaming the streets killing prostitutes. Many of the victim’s remains were found in the area of the Green River giving name to the nameless, faceless killer. In 2001 police were finally able to arrest a man named Gary Leon Ridgway as he was leaving his job at the Kenworth plant in Renton, Washington and he eventually admitted to and was convicted of killing a total of 48 women, but he confessed to killing even more. As part of a plea bargain that spared him the death penalty, Ridgway agreed to show authorities where he had dumped his victims’ bodies. Up until now Ridgway refused to speak to the press but he did have contact with one man, a former Air Force OSI investigator who believed that the victims’ families deserved to know where their loved ones remain ended up. He formed an organization of volunteers who have spent weekends for the past five years combing through the brush, using technology and information from Ridgway himself to uncover the secrets of the Green River Killer. Our Guest in this episode is that man, Rob Fitzgerald founder of Cadaver Team who will tell us his story and explain why he has continued the search for the Green River Killer’s victims long after the authorities gave up.

This week we will try to get into the minds of serial killers in an attempt to discover why they do the things they do, mostly without remorse or a second thought. Many of these murderers are very highly-intelligent, as they plot out and scheme their evil plans over sometimes years of murder sprees. How can they do this to innocent people or even people they know and are currently or were once close to? How can they live their lives and not feel the pain of guilt and inner disgust for their actions?
