Laura Oliver owner of the blog A Frugal Chick lives in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia with Bella, the wonder cat. She is extremely active in church and always trying to keep her number one priority worshipping and serving God. On February 18, 2011 she was laid off from her normal 40 hour a week position. So for right now she remains “unemployed” as she pours her heart and soul into her blog. At night she teaches voice and piano lessons at a nearby dance studio to help make ends meet!

Why Save Money? She started really watching her money once she realized that she was going to be responsible to pay for her education (her boss had originally told her the company would help with schooling but circumstances caused him to back out). The money from her second job would help, but wouldn’t cover it all. So when her sister began clipping coupons and searching the web for deals, she realized she had hit a gold mine. Other people were getting free stuff, why shouldn’t I?

I Want To Help! I understand how overwhelming all of this can seem but I promise you it is not hard at all to get started! I will be happy to hold your hand as you take your first steps to make the best possible use of the money you have and possibly come up with some easy ways to make some more!
