US Boycotts World Conference on Racism
The US will not attend the World Conference Against Racism hosted by the UN at its New York headquarters because the Durban process has "included ugly displays of intolerance and anti-Semitism,"Joseph E. Macmanus, acting US assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs, wrote in a letter sent to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and other members of congress. The US did not attend the conference in 2009.
